3 // How many images will we be able to choose from?
An average senior or portrait package delivers 30-50 images to choose from. The best way to see the type and variety of images we create be sure to take a look at our portfolio galleries and/or our blog.
4 // How do I book a session with you?
You can complete the Contact form on this site, email us at surefirephoto@gmail.com and/or call us at 623-293-2534 or 480-495-5120. We'll be in touch soon to discuss the details of your session.
5 // What is the average cost?
Most portrait clients spend between $500 and $1,000 total after prints, books, and cards are factored in.
6 // What should we wear?
Whatever best suits your personal style. The more comfortable you are, the more fun you'll have during your session. That being said, if you have a favorite pair of heels, boots, or platforms to rock out, be sure to bring them with and we'll work them in.
For families it's great to be in complimentary colors but not too matchy. There are lots of what to and what not to wear resources on the web. If you haven't heard of Pinterest, definitely check into it. It's a great resource for outfit ideas for individuals, couples and families alike. Just search "What to Wear" and you might just have too many ideas to choose from. ;)
Here are some general guidelines:
The goal of any portrait is to direct the viewers attention to the face or faces in the portrait. Simple, long-sleeved garments in natural colors always work well, but: Bold stripes, checks/prints, and logos/graphics can draw attention away from the face and can date the photograph rather quickly.
The key is to know what you're looking for or bring a selection and we'll work together to create some different looks. Choose clothing in similar colors or neutral tones so that no single member of the family stands out because the clothing is too light or bright compared to the rest of the group.
Bright contrasting colors (no clashing colors) make a high impact with children, but can be distracting on adults. Bright colors, such as red or orange, tend to overpower the face and ruin the portrait.
7 // Are you able to remove imperfections from the images?
We want you to look your best! We retouch all of your photos to some extent and special editing is available. Please bring up any special requests during your consultation so that we can discuss our options.
8 // Are parents included in the portrait session fee? Can grandparents join us?
Parents and grandparents are included within the portrait session fee. If you would like us to photograph a larger family gathering or your extended family, please contact us for a quote.
9 // What happens if my child is ill?
If your child is ill then we can reschedule your session. We'd rather them feel their best and be well. Please let us know as soon as you can if your child is ill so we can make arrangements. While we will make every possible effort to reschedule this may not always be possible.
10 // When will our photos be ready to view?
Average portrait session turn around is 7-10 days. We will partner with you to arrange a viewing session where you can pick out images for products ordered with your package, discuss layouts and other possibilities.
11 // Can our family order prints too?
Absolutely, we would be delighted if your family choose to order prints as well. After your viewing session, you'll be able to direct them to your web gallery, where they can place orders.
